Engineering Design and Communication (EDC) is a required program for all Engineering undergraduates, usually in their Freshman year. It teaches teamwork, design process, and audience-oriented communication through a series of team projects for real clients. This program is co-sponsored by the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences Writing Program.
The Certificate in Engineering Design can be combined with any McCormick undergraduate degree. The program focuses on innovative engineering design in a team-based, cross-disciplinary setting.
The BS degree program in Manufacturing and Design Engineering (MaDE) educates engineers in all aspects of product realization from product design to manufacturing technologies and operations. Students learn to integrate various design and manufacturing processes into an effective system.
